Obituary of Alida Bouchard

On June 21, 2017 at the age of 93, our mother Alida (née Dupuis) of St. Jean Baptiste, passed away peacefully at Foyer Valade. Mourning her loss are her children Claudette, (Yolande), Diane (Joe), Raymond, Jeannette, Laurette (Marcien), Pierre (Michelle), Gérald (Lisa). She will also be greatly missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alida is also survived by her brothers Theodore (Germaine), Jean-Guy (Jeannette), Arthur, and inlaws Irène, Roma, Andréa, Marie, Rita, Lorraine, Denise, Marie-Ange, Albert (Jacqueline), Edouard, Thérèse and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be reunited with her husband Edmond and her son Adrien (Yolande), and siblings Roger, René, Aimé, Ulysse, Gérard, and Thérèse, as well as many in-laws from both families.

Mom took great pleasure in family gatherings, gardening, knitting, reading, playing cards, painting, and her many grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook.

A funeral mass will be held at the St. Jean Baptiste church on Tuesday June 27 at 4:00 pm. Eulogy will begin at 3:45. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery.
