Obituary of Michel Bourcier

I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path that was laid for me, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that place at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I’ve savoured much: Good friends, good times, A loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me….. As I now am free. It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our beloved father. Mitch is survived by his mother Jeanette and stepfather Arland. He leaves behind his two sons, Jason and wife Christine, their children Kaiya and Kade; Richie and his girlfriend Ashley, their son Keenan; and the mother of his sons, Gisele. His sisters Leona (Jack), Monique (Joe), Elise (Russ), Carole (Don) and Suzie(Travis) and his brother Paul (Jessica), also survive him. Mitch was predeceased by his father Lucien. He was a social butterfly, always smiling. He loved being around people and had a good kind heart, always offering a helping hand. He was an amazing carpenter who strived for perfection. He absolutely loved the outdoors: riding his side by side, fishing, exploring nature with his grandkids or even just enjoying being outside. What his children and grandchildren will cherish the most is the memory of a loving Dad, Grandpa and Pepere who never missed a chance to tease them. They knew they were loved. Public viewing will be held on Sunday, December 13 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Morris Funeral Home. A private family service will be held in Vassar where Mitch will be laid to rest near his father.
