Our heartfelt sympathy to Ed's family. He was a wonderful person, a joy to talk to and work with. We have enjoyed our visits with him and his family over the years. It was wonderful to watch him play and talk to his grandchildren. He will be missed. Our prayers are with the family!

So sorry to read about Ed's passing in the Free Press this morning. I don't know your family, yet I feel I do. We used to share stories about our families when we worked together. I watched the video and came away feeling that you have many happy memories to share and reflect on. May you find comfort that you and your family rest "in the palm of God's hand".
Love and Prayers,
Herta Janzen

The Friesen family and our family go back a long time in Riverside and at Morris Fellowship Chapel. My personal favourite memories include having Mr. Friesen as my Sunday School teacher. His favourite motivator for us learning Scripture was the promise of attending a Jet game with him . I saw most of my WHA and NHL games with him and his oldest daughter Melody. We cheered against the famous Wayne Gretzky and got autographs from the players (Jets) by waiting around after one game! Laura and Ed also took me along to enjoy Free Skate nights at the Morris Arena and many an icecream at the truck stop south of Morris on Hwy 75 and Suz Inn. Both places are only history now but hold great memories. Ed was always warm and welcoming and obviously adored his daughters. I also recall my brothers and Dad all working for him on his large grain farm. My personal condolences to each of you who love him. I enjoyed seeing the slide show at the funeral home.
