Obituary of Doreen Krueger

It is with great sadness that the family of Doreen Krueger announce her sudden passing on June 5th, 2020 at 62 years old. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Ron, her sons Ron (Gabrielle) and Barry (Jennifer), and grandchildren Daenerys and Eagan. Doreen is survived by Barb and Frank Wolinski. Doreen is predeceased by Bernard Brine, and Kathy Hamilton. In her earlier years she became a nurse, and cared for many people throughout her career at River East Personal Care Homes, HSC, and other nursing homes in the city. She prided herself on giving her residents amazing care, and made certain that her colleagues did their best as well. Perhaps the things she was most proud of in her lifetime though, were being a wife and a mother. Spending an exceptional 40 years with her husband and soulmate Ron, Doreen committed her life to being an amazing wife and partner. The two of them were inseparable and went through all of life’s ups and downs together, never faltering in their devotion to each other. Doreen faithfully committed her life to ensuring that her boys had everything they needed and were encompassed by her love, care and compassion. She truly worked on every facet of herself to serve her family in the best way she could, with an unmistakable passion for caring for their needs selflessly throughout their whole lives. Recently one of her favourite roles to fill was grandmother. No matter how she was feeling or what kind of day she was having, Doreen would get down on the floor to play pretend, read a book or endlessly chase Eagan and Dani through the house. Although she always called them her angels, we know that we were the ones who were blessed with her presence, and feel grateful for the years we had with her. Doreen’s laugh was infectious, and would often cause the rest of the room to start laughing as well. We remember her beautiful smile, her huge heart and her zest for life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crohns and Colitis Canada Details on celebration of life forthcoming.
