I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the family of Elizabeth(Betty)Friesen. I was saddened to hear of her passing.
My memory of her goes back to the mid seventies when I enrolled in the Driver Ed program at the Morris School. She was the “best” teacher anybody could wish for.
Then after many, many years I had the privilege of meeting her at Rosenort Credit Union where I worked as a teller. I instantly recognized her when she walked in the door and it didn’t take long for her to remember me when I introduced myself. After that, when she would come back to do her business at RCU, she would always wait in line to see me. In her words “I was her favourite teller” I’ll never forget her...what a beautiful person inside and out! You as family must miss her so very much. Rest In Peace Mrs Friesen

Dear cousins,
My condolences on the passing of your mom. I did not know her well, but remember being warmly welcomed and later in life, she was very encouraging to me. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Betty was a joy to be around. I would go over to Allyson’s and spend hours at the table talking with Betty. It was a place where I was free. I have known no one as close to Jesus as Betty. I was hosting a baby shower for Allyson at my house and towards the end Betty leaned over and placed her hand on me and said “God is going to bless you with a child”. Two weeks later I was pregnant. Anyone who knew our situation knew that was a miracle. I will forever be thankful for Betty’s faith and obedience to Jesus and her love for me!

Our deepest condolences to the family. Betty and Johnny were in our small church group. She loved to be called Elizabeth and even had her own bible personalized with her name throughout. Betty was a kind, loving prayer warrior. She loved the Lord and it was evident in all she said and did. She was truly an inspiration to us. We know she is enjoying the presence of the Lord and all heaven has to offer.

My condolences to Betty’s family...
I had the honour of having your mom as a driver instructor. One time when we had drivers training we drove to Winnipeg. On the way to Winnipeg she told me that I could speed. When the one grandson talked about her getting the speeding ticket I laughed.
I was working at Salem when she was there for Rest bit for a week. I cried when I saw her there, she didn’t belong there there’s nothing wrong with Betty. I soon found out otherwise, but she had pictures of her roses that she showed me.
I’ll never forget her, she was a beautiful person. You had an amazing mom...see you in heaven Mrs. Friesen

I am saddened by the passing of my Grandma Friesen but so happy she is now with Jesus.
My memories of Grandma are plentiful. From an early age I spent a significant amount of time with her and Grandpa on their farm. I have memories of her amazing baking, her devotion to card playing and her constant smiles.
I remember Grandma as a woman of strength, an angel of happiness, but my fondest recollection of Grandma is the way she looked at Grandpa. I still remember this look of love in her eyes every time “Johnny” entered her presence. She loved and adored him so much.
My most important memory took place one summer day as I sat on the couch looking outside of their large living room window at the farm. The sun was shinning bright and Grandma asked me if I knew Jesus. “Do you have Jesus in your heart?” I was around 6 or 7 at the time and in that moment, I accepted Christ as my Saviour while Grandma prayed for me. This is something I will never forget.
Love you lots Grandma.
Chris

Grandma was an amazing person and will be truly missed. Through life’s ups and downs she has always been there for me devoting countless hours in prayer. If life threw me a challenge, I could always feel Grandma’s prayers and blessings over me. She was full of life and full of energy. Spending time with Grandma was always fun. I truly cherish the memories spent with her on walks, playing cards and just being able to talk about life. I feel fortunate that I was able to spend many nights in Morris with Grandma and Grandpa creating many lifelong memories. I can still envision the sights and smells of Grandma’s homemade cooking and I will always cherish the special memories that we had. I have great joy knowing that she is now in Heaven with Grandpa. Grandma was loved and will be missed.
