Before I started working in the office, when I would stop in at the church to do volunteer work, Bruce was there and I would chat with him in the foyer, library, kitchen, sanctuary or Sunday school huts. We always chatted a bit and got back to work. Recently, every week Bruce would walk through the doors of the church to come and clean. We would say our hellos and as he cleaned he would come into the office, sit in the chair and we would chat. We always found time to chat. He will be missed.
Please know that we are praying for your families and we are sorry for your loss.

Bruce was a very special man. He often brought kindness and comfort to my heart and I often saw a little twinkle in his eye as I chased one of my kids. It blessed me so much how he would
See us and come alongside us to help us enter the church —hanging our jacket and giving us a smile. He will never be forgotten.

Gail, and the Berards, I was reminded as we prayed together today how that for many years, we have sat on the same row at church (the second row from the front), and whenever we had services where we would break up into smaller groups to pray, we would have opportunity to pray together as families.
It was an honour and a privilege to pray together again this afternoon at the Sewell Cemetery as we again looked to our faithful heavenly Father and looked to Him for grace and peace to remain faithful until our work on earth is done.
Bruce is now a part of that cloud of witnesses that is cheering us on to finish our course, to fulfill our ministry and to run our race unto the finish line when we (those of who have gone on before us and those who are still on earth) will receive our resurrection bodies together. What a great and a glorious reunion that will be!
