Please accept my (and Jessica's) condolences. Neta was such a sweet soul! She always trusted me during youth events and encouraged me through my teens. On a particular event, I was the one she trusted to drive her (and Jim's) van with a full load of teens to an event. I didn't want to let her down and yet, I may have been more immature than she gave me credit! Not more than five kilometers from the Loewen house, I wasn't paying close enough attention to the road signs and went off the road at a sharp turn. There was no damage to the van and all the kids quickly rebounded from the shock of flinging off the road. Still, I had Neta's trust in the back of my mind and made a determination to do a better job on the rest of the trip! After high school, I went on to join a Christian missions organization which I still am a part of. That's almost 25 years ago. Neta was one of my first financial supporters. She encouraged me, "Andrae, there's something special about you." So gracious and kind:) If she only knew that I nearly crashed her van with a full load of kids!
