So sad to learn of Laurent’s passing. I met him a few years ago when I bought a boat from him in St-Jean. Our paths crossed many times after that when he moved to Morris as I walked my dog nearby by his place most days. He enjoyed sharing his stories and opinions, and I enjoyed hearing them. It was obvious he took great care and pride of things in his life.
I’m sure he was ready to take his leave on earth, even as he lived fully everyday, and that he is at peace.

Your dad was a good friend to me. He was good to work for and I enjoyed visiting with him at coffee. My prayers go out for you all. David Smith

Larry was a true caretaker. It was very evident that he was dedicated to his loved ones and to his work. He was always helpful, knowledgeable and kind to me. I will miss him dearly, but find comfort in knowing that Larry lived a full and rich life, surrounded by people who loved him.
To his family, may good memories be a source of peace to you in in your grieving.

My condolences to Lynne and her family, Roland and family, Laurent’s long time companion, Wanda, my brothers and sisters and their families. I got to re-know my older brother during the last few years of his life by long distance phone calls. We had many long conversations, some happy and some sad. How that man loved to talk; from his cats, his garden, the animals he had as pets while growing up and of course, the farm. He loves food and cooking. Mashed potatoes, lots of meat, and of course desserts. Thank you to all who helped him on his last journey while he was in the hospital and care home. Rest in peace my brother! Love, Cecile.

I remember Larry for his calm manner, extreme generosity, warmth and humour. He was a skilled cook who took pride in serving up delicious family dinners. He took time in finding me 2 used cars that were up to his high standards by both road testing and investigation of history. Larry was more than happy to offer his electrical expertise by fixing several vintage lamps I purchased over the years. I nicknamed him “Lights On Laurent.” Larry I miss you dearly and know that your light will always shine bright!
