Obituary of Roger Vermette

Roger George Vermette of Saint Jean Baptiste, Manitoba was born October 1, 1942. He passed away on Mach 19, 2023 at Action Marguerite Foyer Valade with his daughter Micheline and son-in-law Eckhardt Dittbrenner by his side. His sons Ronald and Rossel had spent the night with their father. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Paulette (Marion). He leaves to mourn his brother Richard Vermette, his brothers in law: Robert Doyle and Allan McPhail. He will be missed by his sisters: Lorraine Parent and her husband Renald, Colette Letourneau. Also, his in-laws will mourn his passing: Edith Clark. Marielle and Jerry Hoffman. Paule Marion, Leah Vermette, Karen Vermette, Doris and Albert Combot. The role he adored the most was being a grandfather to: Melony Dittbrenner and her partner Cody Hayden, Sage, Cedar, and Willow Hall Vermette, André and Madelaine Vermette. He was close to his nieces and nephews. Roger fut un éducateur pendant 34 années soit comme enseignant ou directeur. Il aimait jouer les sports d’hockey, de baseball et le golfe mais il trouvait le jeu de golfe trop lent! II fut préfet de la Municipalité rurale de Montcalm. Roger was predeceased by his parents: Pierre and Cécile Vermette. Other family members who are deceased are his brothers: Denis, Guy, Louis and his sisters: Lea and her husband Tony Dorvault, Noella and her husband Arnold Fontaine, Louise and Raymond Dupuis, Raymonde Doyle, Denyse Mc Phail, his in laws Carmelle Vermette, Albert Letourneau, Ronald and Lucille Marion, Laura Penner, Ernest Marion and Jeannine Ostrom.
