Obituary of Rudy George Sawatzky

Following a lengthy illness Rudy Sawatzky passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Morris at the age of 58 years on May 19, 2016. He is survived by his wife Sharon nee Wiebe, three daughters: Leslie (Andre) Saray, Gaylene (David) Schill and Victoria (Dennis) Stephenson; three grandchildren: Joshua, Arianna and Lucas; his father Henry Sawatzky; two sisters and three brothers. Rudy was predeceased by his mother Esther Sawatzky (nee Dueck). A private family service has been planned with inurnment to take place in the Morris Cemetery. The family wish to thank Pat, Shiela, Greg & Shirley Janzen and Adam for the support that made it possible for mom to keep dad at home, to keep the promise to keep Rudy home as long as possible. Donations in memory of Rudy may be made to the Red River Valley Food Bank.
