Papa was born May 29, 1939 and was raised on a farm near Saint-Jean-Baptiste. He married Emma on August 19, 1961. He joined the Canadian Armed Forces working as a cook stationed in Victoria and then settled in Aubigny to begin farming. His faith in Saint Joseph grew over the years as well as his Marian devotion. We will remember his generosity and his good sense of humour while sharing stories. Papa loved camping where he contemplated God the Father in this natural earthly beauty. He confronted his illness without complaint as he relied on his personal faith to carry him through. Papa was a man of prayer and his devotion to the Eucharist was essential in his daily life.
A private funeral for the immediate family will take place on April 3, 2023. Interment will be held at the Cemetery Mary Queen in Lac-Etchemin, Québec at a later date.
The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all who have sent special prayers and kind wishes.
