To Darlene, Cherryl, Debbie and Peggy,
I just learned today of Glenn’s passing - my deepest condolences. Ironically I had a dream about Glenn 2 nights ago, and around 3 weeks ago I was telling someone that I used to ride in the big fuel truck with Glenn when I was a Preschooler. On days my Mom had my hair in curlers, he’d tease me that I was getting all gussied up for him! I remember the highlight of my travels with him would be ending up at the Woodmore store where he would buy me a candy necklace. He’d hoist me up on top of the truck when he refuelled and we would sing “Sugar Sugar” and “Come on Sweet-pea”. He was a rockstar! Why he would haul a 3/4 year old with him - who knows, but I adored him. Many fond memories! As I grew up - he and Sheila’s home was a refuge for me from my brothers! I ate many meals there and always got a home made Popsicle.
I just finished watching the service, so glad it was there to view. While I am here, just want to say what a huge part of my life the Lenton family was…. Cherryl our babysitter. The twins with all the hand me down clothes for cousin Gail and I, frequent visits with Uncle Tom at his desk and many Halloween Popcorn balls, snuggles, and treats with Auntie LuLu. Bless you all.
