Brother - in - law Doug Brown specialized in working the land , & caring for his cattle too. Wife Carol , worked along side tirelessly every day too . That was the luv of Dougs life , was to work ! — & the luv of his life was wife Carol , & their 5 precious children, & their families .too. He ( They ) were always glad , to see Alex & I & our kids too . We couldn’t leave , until Doug got pail of ice cream from basement freezer , you could have as many scoops as you wanted !
It became challenging , later years for Doug , with pain in his legs . His memory was always amazing ! So with deep sympathy , Doug will meet his Carol , & perhaps his little Brother Alex too ,& family members too . up there in nature heaven — land ! Luv Sister - in law Linda Brown , to all you kids , luv you too !

I’m so sad to hear of the passing of your father.
Mr. Brown you are an amazing gentleman with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. From the moment I met you at the Chalet, I knew we would become best of buddies. You made my life better just by knowing you. I looked forward every day seeing you at the kitchen table drinking chocolate milk, with your huge grin on your face when I would surprise you with another glass. You were so proud and happy to show me every day the process of the Amaryllis plants and to always introduce me to your family when they came to visit. You always kept me on my toes with your jokes and the stories.
Mr. Brown, I will sure miss you but I'm also happy to know that you are up with your beautiful wife. Rest in Peace Mr. Brown I will forever carry a special place in my heart for you.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I was only priveledged enough to spend a few hours here and there with Mr. Brown over a short period. He had so many stories of "back-in-the-day. I looked forward to our time together. He talked about his wife. The love there is so special. Rest in peace Mr. Brown.

Uncle Doug took good care of Aunt Carol when she was no longer able to take care of herself. I remember stopping by St Pierre to visit Aunt Carol and Uncle Doug would be there wheeling Aunt Carol around; he was a faithful visitor. Alma Brown, Uncle Doug's Mom, lived with them and their growing family for years, which is remarkable. Uncle Doug was always genuinely happy and pleased when you would visit. I spent many days in the summers having sleep overs with my cousin Doris at Uncle Doug's farm. We would all help bale alfalfa during the day so we could go to a good old Sock Hop at the Otterburne West Hall on the weekend! Uncle Doug also let us turn an old chicken coop into a play house which Doris and I thought was magical. Uncle Doug loved his independence and his sisters. Oh when the siblings got together at Christmas gatherings, the BS would fly! I am currently reading my Mom's diaries (Edna Dreger) and seeing as how they were the oldest 2 siblings, they spent time together studying, Mom making note that she got the higher marks! LOL! Uncle Doug had a good heart and enjoyed people, socializing and joking around. It was a shock to learn of his sudden passing, we are never ready for that kind of news.

When I first met Doug’s dad, Doug and I were dating. I was taken aback at first but the more I got to know him, the more I found him to be kind hearted and the biggest flirt ever! He was like that to most women he met (including my mom) lol He had the kindest smile and heart. He will sadly missed.

When Karen first introduced me to Doug’s dad, I found him to be sweet and funny. He made me blush a couple times by his straight forward flirting and I wasn’t expecting it at all. My condolences to the family. May he rest in peace. From Francis Kaluzny
