Obituary of Cole Walker

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Cole, aged 29, in Dryden, Ontario on October 13, 2023. Born in Burnaby, BC, Cole spent his early years in Surrey before moving to Morris, Manitoba. There, he spent his summers swimming, dirt biking, and having air soft gun wars with his many friends, and winters playing hockey on many different teams. Cole’s career journey showed his strong ambition and dedication. He started by working various hockey tournaments in Morris and then built a successful career in roofing, project management and restoration. And who could forget Subway! He took great pride in his work ethic. His life was a series of adventures, leading him from Morris to Vancouver and Kelowna, BC in his beloved jeep, and then finally to Winnipeg, where he became a loving father to three children, whom he adored above all. His love also extended to his siblings, his dogs, his friends, and his passion for music. Cole will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his distinctive booming voice, and his unique blend of clever, dry humour. He was opinionated, yet caring, always ready to help his friends and family. Cole’s presence was commanding, and his absence is felt every day. He leaves behind many people who loved him fiercely. The family wishes to thank everyone who has messaged, called, brought meals, travelled across provinces, prayed and supported us through this time. We love you.
